Broussard, LA – Aqueos announces the pending retirement of Peter “Pete” Goodman effective this May 31. Pete has been with Aqueos for six years as our HSEQ Manager. Pete is retiring after 45 years in the offshore diving industry. Upon completing his enlistment in the US Navy, Pete graduated from the Diver’s Institute of Technology (DIT) and began his diving career at Global Industries. After coming ashore, he worked in various domestic and overseas positions in operations and HSE roles. He also worked briefly at Veolia ES, Cal-Dive International, Bisso Marine, and Blackwater before landing at Aqueos.
A true professional, Pete brought his offshore experience into the operations roles, and once he took his first Dive Medical Technician training, he gravitated toward the Safety and HSEQ roles. In addition to his work roles, Pete has held a board position with the Gulf Coast Safety & Training Group. He is on the Board of Directors of the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology. Additionally, he served on the IMCA Safety & Environment Legislation Committee, Competency & Training Committee, and various other roles within the ADCI. His reputation for maintaining a cool head under fire is well respected in our high-risk industry. Pete looks forward to traveling with his wife, Bertha, and enjoying leisure activities. Please reach out to him and congratulate him on his outstanding career. Join Aqueos and wish him the best in a long and well-deserved retirement.
“This is not goodbye; one door is closing while another is opening. I’m looking forward to the journey, meeting everyone I’ve enjoyed working with, and having a cup of coffee. I wish you and your families the best”, states Pete.
Ted Roche, Aqueos’ CEO, states, “ Pete was brought onboard and immediately thrust right into the middle of the entire HSEQ Department. His diligence and hard work, including overseeing and implementing our ISO Certification process, are a testament to his commitment and tenacity. Additionally, his contribution, long tenure in the industry, and wealth of experience significantly shaped Aqueos in becoming the company we are today. We wish him the best with his much-deserved retirement.”
