Walter Aguilar

Walter Aguilar serves as Senior Vice President of Projects and Operations at Aqueos, bringing more than 24 years of experience in subsea construction. He has built a distinguished career through progressive senior leadership roles, demonstrating deep technical expertise and a strong commitment to operational excellence.

Prior to joining Aqueos, Mr. Aguilar held key positions with TechnipFMC and Global Industries from 2002 to 2021. He began his career as a Field Engineer, supporting offshore subsea projects across the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, Mexico, South America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. This extensive international experience provided him with a broad understanding of global subsea operations and execution environments.

As he advanced into project management, Mr. Aguilar led the safe, efficient, and profitable delivery of increasingly complex projects. He has successfully managed large-scale Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) projects for major operators, including BP, ExxonMobil, Shell, BG, and Saudi Aramco. His leadership has consistently driven high standards of safety, quality, and performance.

Mr. Aguilar holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His extensive experience, strategic perspective, and proven leadership continue to drive operational success and support Aqueos’ commitment to excellence in subsea construction.
