Jason Smith
Vice President of Operations, West Coast
Jason Smith brings more than 28 years of experience in commercial diving and subsea services. Based on the West Coast, he oversees complex marine construction, inspection, maintenance, and repair operations across some of the industry’s most demanding environments.
After graduating from the College of Oceaneering in 1996, Mr. Smith began his career as a commercial diver with U.S. Underwater Services and steadily rose through the ranks—serving as Tender, Diver, Supervisor, Superintendent, Project Manager, and eventually Vice President of Operations. His years in the field developed a deep, hands-on understanding of both offshore and inland operations, with a focus on safe and efficient execution, which now informs his strategic leadership at the executive level.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Smith has led major subsea projects involving marine construction; oil and gas platform and pipeline inspection, maintenance, and repair; hydroelectric dam inspections and rehabilitations; and cable inspection, repair, and installation. His work spans a wide range of settings, including the Gulf of Mexico, the United States, Canada, and Kuwait hydroelectric and nuclear power plants, municipal treatment facilities, offshore drilling rigs, and hazardous material sites.
At Aqueos, Mr. Smith leads West Coast operations with a strong focus on safety, project execution, team performance, and client satisfaction. His field-tested perspective and team-first mindset ensure every project is delivered with precision, accountability, and care. His commitment to operational excellence and team development continues to drive Aqueos’ growth across the energy and infrastructure sectors.
